Whoopi Goldberg Goes in on NY Times

Real change seemed to have come to movies or at least the Academy, which had given statuettes to a total of seven black actors in the previous 73 years. After Mr. Washington and Ms. Berry, there would be Jamie Foxx and Forest Whitaker (both best actors); Morgan Freeman (best supporting actor); Jennifer Hudson and Mo’Nique (best supporting actresses).

But What about Whoopi Goldberg?

That's what Barbara Walters brought to the table on this morning's episode of the "The View" and Whoopi went in.  Basically, the NY Times did an article about the number of black actors and actresses who have won academy awards in the past.  However, they completely forgot [or just didn't want to include] Whoopi!  She wasn't happy.  She called the NY Times messy and Elizabeth Hasselbeck even mentioned that she had cancelled her subscription just as soon as she heard the news.

It's kind of strange how the Times could just not have their facts together like this.  I wonder what is going on... Do they not like Whoopi, or did they really just forget about this:

Now they've done it. I'm pretty sure they didn't mean to incur Whoopi's wrath. I'd still subscribe to their paper though, if only to browse the latest on catering New York.
